Web Geeks Serving Sonoma County Nonprofits

What is WIMP Gives?

WIMP Gives is an event produced by Sonoma County’s most reputable group of Internet Industry professionals. It offers opportunities to WIMP members to join a team of fellow website building pros and partners them with local non-profits with a mission of building them a new website from the ground up in just one day. It also hopes to shed some light on some up and coming or lesser known non-profits in the area in order to give them a leg up and increase their reach and visibility online.

How can I help?

Are you a Wimp or a Wimp wannabe? We would love to have you register to be on a build team. Open positions for each team include project manager, designer, lead developer, assistant developer, and content strategist. Students are also definitely welcome to observe each team and learn from their processes and how they work together or you may volunteer and help run the event. Want to help a participating non-profit? You will be able to donate here on the website or in person during the event.

I’m not a Wimp or a Non-Profit. Is it okay if I come?

This event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. Come learn about the various causes in our beautiful North Bay community and discover how you can get involved. Our network of professionals will also be on hand all day to answer any and all questions you may have about technology and the web.

Best of all, it will be a great opportunity to network and socialize, with delicious food and entertainment provided by our sponsors.
